TeamOne started with just 2 people in 2011. Every year the number of riders has grown. Each year the fundraising results surpassed years prior.

The team started on their rise in the number of Archived Champion Level Champions in 2013 with 7 Archived Champion Level Champions , the most of any team that year. Then TeamOne broke that record in 2015 with 14 Archived Champion Level Champions and SAIC’s Cycling Jersey is Voted #1.  In 2016, TeamOne was the first team in ADA Orlando history to have an entire “Team of Champions”.  At that moment the Orlando ADA coined the moniker “Team of Champions”.

In 2017 & 2018 TeamOne also attained the “Team of Champions” status, making it a three-peat … three years in a row. This achievement inspired other teams to charge towards making it happen for their own groups.

Topping off 2018, TeamOne received several special distinctions.  The TeamOne photo was selected by the &Barr advertising agency, from a pool of many other team photographs. The image was chosen because it displayed all the qualities which align with some of the ADA core values: determination, diversity, unity, and teamwork. The team’s image was used in the following marketing materials (the actual images displayed above):

  • ADA Tour de Cure Lake Nona 2018 Save the Date postcard
  • ADA Tour de Cure Lake Nona 2018 Brochure
  • ADA National Website, on the corporate team’s page
  • ADA Tour de Cure Orlando Facebook page
  • Electronic billboards at 6 different locations within the Orlando area which displayed the team riding for a cure.
  • Tribute Wall on the day of the event. The wall provided a backdrop for everyone to take group pictures, sign and write special messages.

TeamOne is a proud supporter of the ADA Tour de Cure.  For more information on TeamOne’s efforts, visit https://teamonecycle.com/news/ada-news/

More surprises in 2018 for TeamOne were:

A team photo that made it into SAIC’s Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Report and the new SAIC.com site.  This was the second time they have appeared in the SAIC’s Fiscal Annual Report.  The team’s first appearance was in the 2015 Fiscal Annual Report and shared page 7.  2018 is even more special since they have an entire page (page 11) dedicated to the team, displaying a few team members.  🙂

It is a very special moment when you make it to the company web site. This photo expresses how much fun it is to be a part of TeamOne.

A special thank you goes to a fellow SAIC team member, Ron Conant @ www.Humilis.studio for taking such great action photos.  Without Ron’s keen eye for the action, none of this would be possible.
