On Saturday, the TeamOne members (Diana, Jodel and Z) joined other cyclists in the Orlando area for the Peloton Cyclist Club (PCC) Ride #1.

PCC (http://pelotoncyclistclub.com) is a fun and unique company that has set out to unite the cycling community. TeamOne members joined in for 40 miles of beautiful country riding through Lake Nona. This was a great opportunity for some of the Team to get some training preparation for the ADA Tour de Cure in March 2017.

All PCC rides are fully supported with mechanical and nutritional support before, during, and after the events. PCC will have designated fully stocked SAG stops along the route to meet every rider’s need.

The Ride

The day started early for the Team members, especially for a Saturday, but everyone was ready to go at the 7:30 start time! The morning was wonderfully clear. TeamOne members joined in on the fun with the 40 mile group.

The first 20 miles passed quickly and effortlessly on the flat route. There were riders of all levels from across the Orlando area. The challenges for the day included riding with new riders, watching out for some incredibly big branches in the bike lane, and closing the gap in the peloton line.

The first SAG station came right on time. Greeted by smiles, cold water and electrolyte hydration, pickles, trail mix, bananas, and SHADE, the riders enjoyed a quick break.

After the SAG stop, the team got back on the road for another 20 miles.  The pace was comfortable and the scenery continued to be beautiful. They finished just as strong as they started, with an 18 mph average overall.

The ride ended at the Tap Room in Lake Nona. Riders had time to visit, enjoy a delicious lunch, and relax after a long week of everyday life. Nothing is better than enjoying a great ride and the company of friends sharing our love for cycling on a beautiful Saturday morning!

PCC once again made sure cyclists had a great day!! Check out what they have to offer at their website: http://pelotoncyclistclub.com
