Who Makes It Happen in Orlando?

Cesar Cesareo

Cesar is the Associate Director, Special Events for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Central Florida Area with over years of dedicated service. Cesar started his ADA career in the Accounting Department but it wasn’t long before his potential in the special events department was recognized. After several years as a special events support staff member, in 2010 Cesar became the lead for the ADA’s fastest growing fundraising event, Tour de Cure.

Cesar helps manage a committee of passionate executive volunteers and logistics volunteer planning committee for the Tour. His strength to cultivate relationships has been significant to developing fundraisers, team captains, volunteers and corporate sponsorships. Always a team player, he happily assists with other ADA events and actively volunteers for other local charities.

So what drives Cesar? His passion to Stop Diabetes is very personal as he lost his father, Antonio Cesareo, to complications of diabetes in 1997. He wants to do everything possible to help ensure no one suffers a similar loss.

His plan is to develop the Tour de Cure at Lake Nona into a million dollar destination event by 2017 in hopes to one day witness the ADA vision: Life Free of Diabetes and All of its Burdens.
