In the midst of all this terrible news surrounding COVID-19, there is some positivity for TeamOne!

All the TeamOne members and people who support the team should stand up from your home office chair and take a well-deserved bow. This recognition is possible because of everything the team members and donors provide to the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure effort.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Orlando stated that TeamOne is once again the “Team of Champions.” This makes the 5th consecutive year for the entire team to become the “Team of Champions!”

The Team of Champions Members

The following team members and their donors contributed to the team goals and have archived Champions status in the last five years. To become a Champion for Diabetes an individual must raise a minimum of $1,000 in donations. TeamOne “fun” raised $110,889 in donations during the last 5 years. This was accomplished by performing the task of asking for donations which is not an easy thing to do with the national emergencies which have happened requiring help from all in the last 5 years. Most team members partially or fully funded their own campaigns to achieve the Champion moniker. Some who may have had extra donations to spare distributed their funds to other struggling team members.

Time is one of the most precious things anyone can possess or give, you cannot create or purchase more of it. When someone invests their time with you or a cause it is an honor. They are investing something that they cannot get back. We appreciate everyone’s commitment of time through the years donated to this cause and also the time invested in the work to create the funds provided.

A BIG THANK YOU!

Given to the donors (our extended team members) that have always supported the team for the Tour de Cure.

Special Acknowledgement

TeamOne would like to thank first and foremost Bob Fecteau (formerly SAIC CIO) for being a man of his word and riding with us since he was hired as CIO, his Virgina team member recruitment efforts, providing pesonal funds, while shedding light on the cause and event. Secondly, Tom Wofford for keeping this team in the conversation with the executive leadership team, acquiring funds in support of the event, and riding with us every year. Thirdly, Tony Moraco (formerly SAIC CEO) for personally providing what was needed to get the struggling team members over the Champion finish line! Last but not least, all the team members who personally traveled from other states to participate in this one day event!

This is representative of a quote  … “We are not a team because we work together.  We are a team because we respect, trust, care for each other and the community! – Anonymous.”

TeamOne will enjoy the moment with our donors and friends. TeamOne lives up to the name and is being recognized as one for all and all for one! View other team awards and/or recognitions.
