Diana, Kelley, Jodel, and I represented TeamOne in St. Cloud, FL. Diana, Kelley and I by riding the 38+ mile course to promote the upcoming Tour de Cure in March. Jodel didn’t ride, because of his 3-day old knee surgery decided to provide SAG support for the all the participants. Once we all met up and loaded the Titan pickup truck with all the required equipment and materials, then off we were on our way at 6 ish. In St. Cloud, FL the temperature felt warmer (75.6), yet still balmy. When we met with our other teammate, Seresaa and the other participants is when the additional bonus of the meeting was revealed.

Lee secretly enlisted some of Cesar’s friends to post bond on his new bicycle which has been sitting in the shop on a long layaway plan. All of Cesar friends gladly chipped in so that he will not have to use a fixy (single gear bicycle) the entire route. Cesar was overwhelmed by the surprise and generosity of the friends he has made through his efforts at organizing the ADA Tour de Cure events.
After the presentation, we all rode away from Lakefront Park in St. Cloud into the great Florida riding weather. The cloud cover was the best part of the ride which shielded us from the unforgiving Florida sun.
